Gentle Dental Care for Kids, With a Closer Look at How They Breathe and Sleep

A child's first dental visits shape how they feel about dental care for the rest of their lives. At Dream Dental & Sleep, we make those visits calm, friendly, and unhurried. We welcome children ages [X] and up from Hermitage, Sharon, Farrell, Greenville, Grove City and the surrounding communities.

What sets us apart is that we look at the whole picture. Along with teeth and gums, we pay attention to how your child breathes, sleeps and grows, because those things are closely connected. Few dental offices in the area combine children's dentistry with sleep and airway screening, and that is what we do every day.

Children’s Dental Services We Offer

Dental cleanings and exams help prevent future oral health complications and ensure any issues are caught early. Benefits include:

Why Start Early?

Tooth decay is one of the most common chronic conditions of childhood, and it is largely preventable. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first dental visit by a child's first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. Starting early means we can coach you on brushing, feeding and habits, spot trouble before it hurts, and help your child get comfortable in the dental chair long before they need any treatment.

What Makes Our Approach Different

A calm, child-friendly pace

We explain everything in simple words, let kids see and touch the tools, and never rush.

Parents stay close

You are welcome in the room for your child's visit.

Prevention first

Our goal is a childhood with few or no fillings.

Whole-child awareness

Because we also treat sleep and airway conditions, we know what to look for, and we coordinate with your pediatrician or an ENT when needed.

Convenient scheduling for families

We are open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Your Child's First Visit

Schedule the first visit by your child's first birthday, or within six months of their first tooth. If your child is older and has never been to the dentist, there is no better time than now. Visits are short and gentle, and mostly about getting comfortable.

What happens at the visit:

  • A warm welcome and a tour of the office
  • A conversation about your child's health, habits, feeding and sleep
  • A gentle look at the teeth, gums, bite and jaw development
  • A cleaning and fluoride treatment if appropriate, and X-rays only if needed
  • A quick airway and sleep check, including questions about snoring and mouth breathing
  • Plenty of time for your questions

How to prepare:

  • Keep it positive. Words like "counting teeth" work better than "shots" or "drill."
  • Read a children's book about visiting the dentist.
  • Schedule around naps and mealtimes, and bring a favorite comfort item.
  • Bring insurance information, a list of medications, and your questions about teething, habits, snoring or sleep.
